BOSS BOY (2) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1m at Echuca, beaten 1. 5 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he has the ability to mix it with them. RAINY NIGHT (8) settled well back then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished 4. 5 lengths away in sixth last time out over 7f at Pakenham Synthetic two weeks ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Major player in this line up. KING TAGALOA (5) is a maiden galloper resuming from a lay-off after finishing eighth over 1m at Moe at the latest appearance on December 14. Fitter for three trials, placing most recently. Can feature in the finish. A LONG STORY SHORT (1) is a two-start maiden who was unplaced on debut then improved to finish third last time over 1m1/4f at Moe, beaten 7 lengths. Further improvement in store.
