APPPLEBY (9) did a good job last start to finish third at Yarra Valley over 6f, beaten 1. 1 lengths. Cherry-ripe now. Drawn ideally and is a strong winning hope. MR MARKLE (13) turned in an eye-catching run over 5f at Tatura when resuming last time, ridden back before coming home with a powerful run to finish third. Will drift back but is expected to be in the finish again. RED LINE FEVER (7) is a handy type who resumes after a break of six months. At her last appearance she finished ninth over 6f at Cranbourne, beaten 13 lengths. Fitter for three subsequent trials, including a win. Sure to be competitive. SHAME ON SUE (11) has been in the placings her past two starts, finishing second over 6f at Colac last time out. Should be prominent despite the awkward gate. In the mix.
