GIFT OF ORATORY (5) was well found in the betting last time out but could only manage to finish seventh over 1m2 1/2f at Ballarat Synthetic in a disappointing performance. Finds a nice race and can make amends. MORRISSETTE (3) was below her best last time out when 4 lengths from the winner in tenth over 1m2 1/2f at Sandown-Lakeside. Settles back early but winds up late. Will prove tough to stop. QUAMBY (4) recorded an all-the-way win last time out by 1.75 lengths over this journey at Wangaratta. Commendable record at this trip with a win and five minor placings and is one of the better hopes.
