SPECULATING (11) is a two-start maiden who was unplaced on debut then improved to finish second last time over 7f at Pakenham Synthetic, beaten half a length. Should park just off the speed. Further improvement to come and this looks his chance. ECLIPSION (3) finished out of the money when fresh from a lay-off two starts back then was beaten 3.5 lengths when fourth in a 1m contest at Kembla Grange four weeks ago after being in the firing line on the turn. Has the talent to figure prominently. SURE THING (14) is a maiden who has filled a minor placing two times in eight starts. Safely held when resuming last start over 6½f at Echuca, finishing fifth and beaten 6 lengths. Fitter and the winkers come off this time. Expected to run well. GIGANTOR (12) will find this a little easier after missing the frame in town last time, finishing seventh over 1m at Moonee Valley. Can do much better.
