MR ASSERTIVE (4) is a two-start maiden who looks close to a win after placing at both runs, the latest when second over 5f at Ballarat. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Likely to feature. LAMINAR (3) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Bairnsdale, beaten 6 lengths after being prominent at the turn. Strips fitter and can take this out. SUPERSONIC LEGEND (5) has not raced since his debut back on January 20 when he finished fifth over 5f at Camperdown. One of the contenders with the blinkers added. BOUDICA WARRIOR (8) finished 5 lengths from the winner in fifth last start after being in contention on the turn over 5f at Echuca, an improvement on her eighth on debut at Kyneton the run before.
