EMPRESS TSARINA (3) was always well back last time out and never really threatened when seventh over 7¼f at Muswellbrook. Will drift back but wind up late. Will prove tough to beat. THE WARRIOR (1) stepped out on his debut over 4½f at Newcastle two-and-a-half weeks ago and finished fifth, beaten 5 lengths. Will be better for that run. Leading contender. I'M OPINIONATED (7) is backing up quickly after finishing in the money at Taree over 5f just nine days ago. Strong run last time and should figure prominently. THIRD BASE (2) went forward over 5f at Muswellbrook on debut last start but found a couple better. Not to be discounted.
