BRILLIANT KNIGHT (5) faced the starter for the first time and was well supported but could only manage fourth last start at Tamworth over 6f, beaten 2.25 lengths. Can improve sharply and is expected to feature. HINUNE (12) turned in a eye-catching run last start over 7f at Bathurst, winding up hard from well back on straightening to finish a close third. Will drift back but is expected to be in the finish again. APHELION (4) resuming after six-and-a-half months break and was in the money at only start before another lay-off. Sure to be improved by recent trials and worth including again. PHAZED (10) resumes from a lay-off of six months and looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 1m at this track. Has trialled two times leading into this. Solid top-three hope.
