KOIOS (1) is a three-start maiden who returned last time and finished fourth at Randwick Kensington over 5¾f, beaten a head. Plenty of scope for improvement and is a great chance to break through. AVALON LADY (6) is yet to break through after three career starts. Could only manage to finish eighth last time out over 6¼f at Newcastle following a minor placing at Beaumont (Newcastle) when fresh from a lay-off the run prior. Cannot be left out of calculations. STAR VENTURE (8) made progress last time out, finishing 3 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 6f87yards at Muswellbrook. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she is good enough to play a major role. SHARE THE JOY (4) finished fifth two runs back then did well last start but found a couple better over 6½f at Newcastle, beaten only 1.1 lengths. This looks a good race for her so another forward showing looks likely.
