NATURE BOY (2) improved sharply on his ninth two starts back at Tamworth with success over 1m7 1/2f at Grafton a week-and-a-half ago, getting home by 3 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. Likely to be there at the finish again. BALMIERRO (4) raced on the speed last start and battled on well but found one better over 1m at this track. Going well enough to take this out. BILL PEYTO (3) was given time to settle from an outside draw last time then wound up strongly in the straight for an eye-catching third over 1m2 3/4f at Gunnedah. One of the main contenders. LITTLE OUTLAW (8) was in the placings when a length away from the winner last time at Queanbeyan on a soft ground and gets some weight relief here. Not to be discounted.
