SHEN GUI (10) was safely held when 13th last time out over 7¼f at Muswellbrook, beaten 26 lengths. That followed a win at Dubbo at the previous outing. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. UP AND COMER (13) returns from a layoff of five-and-a-half months. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 7f at Orange. Sure to make her presence felt. BIG BAY WOLF (9) will strip fitter for this after running below expectations when resuming at Goulburn, finishing tenth and beaten 20 lengths over 6½f. Finds a nice race and can atone.
