SPARKINGLY (4) finds it hard to win with just one success from 12 starts. Was again denied last start when he found one better over 5f at Parkes. In the right race and there is no reason he cannot get the major prize. SHE'S A BAD GIRL (5) ran a strong third over 4½f at Wellington two runs back then was below her best last time over 5½f when tenth, beaten 6 lengths. Better suited at this shorter trip so rates among the leading chances. PROVENCAL (6) was below her best last time, finishing sixth and beaten 4 lengths over 5f at Gosford. This doesn't look as hard so she is likely to play a big role. ARAFURA SEA (7) looks close to a win, finishing in the placings at her last couple of runs including a second most recently over 4¾f at Moree when beaten one length. Among the chances again.
