MERCY WARREN (5) met with solid support last time out but could only manage to finish eighth over 1m at Ellis Park (Dirt) in a disappointing performance. Has the class to take care of this field. IT TAKES HEART (2) was in the firing line on the turn and finished 5 lengths from the winner in third last start at Aqueduct (Dirt) over this distance. Has never been out of the money in four starts at this trip, including two wins. Jockey switch to Jose Lezcano who has two wins from three rides. One of the main contenders. ALTERED SHOT (6) is building towards a win with placings at her last two runs, the latest effort a third over 6½f at this track (Dirt) when beaten 4 lengths. Manuel Franco stays aboard and although yet to win has been in the money on two occasions. Best figures stack up.
