MALU (7) improved sharply on her seventh two starts back at Churchill Downs (Dirt) with a win over 7f at this track (Dirt) a week ago, getting home by 5 lengths after being prominent at the turn. Taking on a better field but she is worth serious consideration. MEL'S BABY SISTER (6) finished sixth when resuming at Aqueduct two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 7f at this track, beaten 6 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Looks well placed so expect another big run. DUCKPHAT (2) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing fourth at Aqueduct (Dirt) over 1m. Meets a stronger field but she is capable of running a bold race.
