FALCON GOLD (2) showed good early dash at the first run after a lay-off last time out and led for most of the way before being claimed and finishing 1. 2 lengths away in second over 5f at Gundagai. Sure to go well. THIS AIN'T TEXAS (8) stepped out on her debut over 5½f at Nowra four weeks ago and finished fourth, beaten 4. 5 lengths. Expected to improve and will pay to follow up. SMOLENSKI (3) is a two-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 4 lengths when fourth over 6f at Nowra. Will derive great benefit from that outing and deserves consideration. DAWN ON ME (7) is a filly by Brutal out of Dawn Almighty making her first appearance. Well held in a recent trial with this rider Claire Ramsbotham up. Worth keeping safe.
