SOUK (3) took advantage of the good draw when resuming from a lay-off last start and led for much of the way before finishing second, beaten one length, over 5f87yards at Canberra Acton. Will take catching. SESTO (2) missed the placings on debut then improved last start but found a couple better over 5f at this track, beaten 1.5 lengths after being prominent at the corner. Looks well placed so expect another big run. MOVER AND SHAKER (6) is back after a break of six months. At the last run before the layoff she finished fifth over 5f at Canberra. Ran fourth in a recent trial at Kembla Grange. Strong winning chance on best figures. WALKING UNDA STARS (8) is on debut. By Cosmic Force and comes from the Mick J Smith stable. Placed at her most recent trial. Worth watching for a betting push.
