Good fresh performer so he is likely to figure in the finish. MIDNIGHT MAMMOTH (2) resumes. Didn't make an impact at his only run last prep on August 30, finishing sixth and beaten 35 lengths over 1m2f in the G1 Pacific Classic Stakes at Del Mar (Dirt). Armando Ayuso who has scored on him four times retains the mount. Should be hard to stop. BALADI (4) has been thereabouts without winning, the most recent effort a second at Los Alamitos (Dirt) over 7f when he was beaten 3 lengths. Should be poised just off the lead. Winning claims on best figures. WINTERFELL (1) finished fifth at this track and distance at his last appearance 13 months ago. Among the better hopes.
