Finds an easier assignment and can get the job done. VANTASTIC (11) returns from a lay-off. Finished second at this track and distance at his only appearance last prep 12 weeks ago. Rates highly and should take beating. VERITAS AEQUITAS (2) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Los Alamitos, beaten 4 lengths into fourth. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. DON'T Set Weights EAR DAVE (7) returns from a layoff of 12 weeks. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 6f at this track. Lines up. For the first time for trainer Hector O Palma. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
