CUPID'S CRUSADER (6) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 15 starts. Was again denied last start when he found a couple better over 5½f at this track. Likely contender with strong prospects. JAMES J BRADDOCK (3) broke through for his maiden win over 6f at this track (Dirt) last time. Winning rider Antonio Fresu stays aboard and he is a solid top-three hope. EL ONDEADO (7) did a great job to score by 1.3 lengths over this course and distance last start in a much improved run. Finds another suitable race and can figure in the finish.
