VERITAS AEQUITAS (5) had been in sparkling form winning two races on end but missed the frame most recently when fourth over 1m1/4f at Pleasanton (Dirt). Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Will play a major role. UPSTART YANKEE (4) proved too strong two runs ago at Pleasanton. Couldn't follow that up last time out when third over 1m1/4f at Pleasanton, beaten 3 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Finds a suitable race and can return to winning ways. CROWN MAGIC (1) improved last start when he did his best work late to finish second over 1m1/4f at Pleasanton. Looks well placed so expect another big run. RICH GOLD (6) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at this track, beaten 12 lengths into fourth. Better than recent efforts suggest.
