ROYAL FLARE (2) was a winner over 6f at Caulfield Heath last time out, dropping out early before coming home with a powerful run to score by half a length. Sure to be tough to stop again. LAUBERHORN (12) was safely held when fifth last start over 7f at Pakenham, beaten 3. 5 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. That followed a good win on debut at Sale. Finds a tougher race but this looks well within his grasp. RODRIQUEZ (7) came home strongly last start to finish third, beaten 0. 9 lengths, over 5f at Caulfield Heath when coming back from a break. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. One of the main contenders. ELECTRIC TOMMY (1) is having his first run since September 6. Goes very well when fresh with two wins from three starts, the latest over 6f at Moe at the start of last prep. Placed in a recent trial. Makes plenty of appeal.
