A competitive G2 Novices Chase where none of the quartet can be completely ignored. DOYEN QUEST (1) carries a 3lb penalty for his 10L success over QUEBECOIS (3) at Exeter four weeks ago and that might not be enough to prevent the follow up. Jumped well on his first start tackling this trip and racing for trainer Dan Skelton looks to be progressing nicely in this sphere. The latter was making his chasing debut that day and might well finish closer for the fences experience gained. SALVER (4) ran respectably providing initial chase outing at Exeter and could do better now stepping up in journey. LAURENS BAY (2) completes the four runners.
