PERFECT NIGHT (15) faced the starter for the first time and finished fourth last start at Bendigo over 5½f, beaten 2.25 lengths. Will take a lot from that last run and is worth following up. MATSUDA (6) settled back on debut last time out but wound up strongly in the run home to finish second over 6f at Geelong. Open to plenty of improvement.
