STEP ASIDE (12) finished fourth last time out over 7f at Caulfield, beaten 3.5 lengths. Has a win and four placings at this journey from eight starts. Likely to be in the finish. EYE OF THE EAGLE (17) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by a neck over 6½f at this track. Will be better for that latest run and is among the winning hopes again. VALOIS (16) showed good early dash last start and held on well to finish 2.5 lengths back in third over 6f at Sandown-Lakeside. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again.
