KALKALLO (1) was an impressive winner last time over 6½f at Sandown-Lakeside, stalking the pace before lengthening nicely to score by 2.25 lengths. Will be tough to rein in again. GRAMMAR LAD (2) drifted back then closed strongly to score on debut over 6f at Pakenham four months ago and has not appeared since. Has plenty of upside and should go on with it. PIERIS (4) hit the frame two starts ago at Sandown-Lakeside but ran below par last time when sixth and beaten 5 lengths over 6f at Moonee Valley. Finds a nice race and can find winning form. PERIDOT STAR (3) scored last start at Pakenham Synthetic to make it two wins from three starts this campaign. Should camp just off the leaders. Don't underestimate.
