BRAVE MISS (9) built on a nice second two starts back at Mornington with success as favourite over 1m1/2f at Sale two weeks ago, getting home by a nose. Jye Mcneil scored on her last time and retains the ride. Must raise the bar but she has the ability to test this field. PREFERENTIAL (11) displayed plenty of early toe over 1m4f at Geelong last time and defied all challengers to score by 4 lengths. This looks a sterner test than last time but on her best form she is good enough to take this out. HARD SQUEEZE (5) was in contention on the turn and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1m2 1/2f at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Thomas Stockdale gets the best out of this six-year-old mare. Likely improver with strong prospects. SHE'S A CON (10) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a seventh over 1m at this track. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
