PATCHOULI DREAM (4) showed good early dash before weakening to be beaten 3 lengths into eighth over 7f at Caulfield last time out. Well placed and will take some running down. NATION STATE (2) is a talented gelding who was tested in tougher class last time when seventh over 7f in the LR H C Nitschke Stakes at Morphettville Parks. Should camp just off the leaders. Will give a great sight. MERRIGOLD (10) started at 13/2 last time and ran below expectations, finishing tenth and beaten 10 lengths at Pakenham over 7f after being in the firing line on the bend. It doesn't get any easier but on her best form she is capable of testing her rivals. LINKS (7) is racing well without being able to break through, the latest effort a third over 5½f at Flemington three weeks ago. Has a low draw so she is sure to make her presence felt.
