THE DEVIL'S BET (3) showed good early speed then led into the straight when fresh from a lay-off last start before fighting on to finish second, beaten 2 lengths, over 5f at this track (Turf). Well-placed and will take running down. AGGIE'S CREED (8) settled well back last start and never threatened when 5. 5 lengths from the winner in fifth over 5½f at Sam Houston Park (Dirt). Worth noting S Elliott goes aboard. Ideally placed and is sure to be there at the finish. BATTALION STRIKE (5) has not won for a long while. Last raced on January 30 when beaten 6 lengths into fifth at Sam Houston Park (Dirt) over 6½f after being up on the pace until straightening. Suitably placed so anticipating a bold performance.
