CUZ LIGHTYEAR (6) was well held in the won by Cowboys Gun Z over 2f at Ruidoso Downs at his last appearance eight months ago. Will appreciate this easier race. FABULOUS BLACK ICE (7) showed good early dash at the first run after a lay-off last time out and led for most of the way before being claimed and finishing 0.3 lengths away in second over 1f31yards at The Red Mile (Dirt). Should go well. BIG JIM HATLEY (4) returned from a lay-off five weeks ago when he was beaten 3.5 lengths into sixth over 1½f at Remington Park. A Contreras is a key engagement. Faces an easier assignment so he can play a big role. APOLLITICAL IKE (3) finished ninth over 1f80yards at Evangeline Downs (Dirt) at his most recent appearance on December 13. Sure to make his presence felt.
