HOUSE OF LORDS (14) was an impressive maiden winner last time out, scoring by 1.5 lengths over 7f at this track. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Looks well placed and a bold showing is expected. THE WESTERN FRONT (4) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then didn't feature last start when 4.5 lengths away in ninth over 1m1f at Sandown-Hillside. Ideally placed and is sure to play a major role. MAKDANE (3) finished second two runs back at Geelong then improved last time out to score by 2 lengths as public elect over 1m1/2f at Geelong. This looks a sterner test than last time but on current form he is one of the key runners. BLACKLIST (13) was prominent at the corner and finished second last time over 1m at Cranbourne, beaten a long neck. Will trim down following recent racing. Capable of another bold effort.
