SLANE (2) hit the frame two starts ago at Cranbourne but ran below par last time when eighth and beaten 15 lengths over 1m1/2f at this track. Finds a more suitable contest and can turn things around. BOWER BOY (1) finished third when resuming two runs back at Bendigo then progressed nicely last time out to score by a nose as public elect over 7f155yards at Geelong. Hayley Spitse scored on him last time and retains the mount. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot score again. STEPCHILD (4) did little and finished 12 lengths from the winner in ninth over 1m at Pakenham last start, a less impressive effort than his seventh at Moonee Valley the run before. Finds a more suitable contest and can turn things around. GINGER Set Weights EET (9) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing second and beaten only a long neck over 1m1/2f at this track. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
