SHAIME (5) didn’t threaten when resuming last start over 5½f at Flemington, finishing seventh, beaten 4 lengths. Has a fair record when second up, including two top-three finishes. Expected to feature. AMERICAN LIAISON (6) got home by just a nose at his latest appearance over 6f at Cranbourne. Will appreciate the big weight drop so he is one of the main contenders. BAHAMA BAY (7) was well beaten and faded right out of it last time at Flemington but gets some weight relief. Rates well and looks an each way chance on best form.
