CENTRAL COAST (16) was right in contention when they turned for home and kept finding to finish second last start over 6¼f at Canterbury, beaten a nose when resuming as favourite. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. CHIDIAC (14) finished second last time over 5½f at Randwick, beaten 1.75 lengths. Will trim down following recent racing. In the right race and is worth serious consideration.
