Race Tip

GANGSTA GRANNY (8) clung on to finish second last start over 5½f in the G3 Toy Show Quality at Randwick, beaten half a length when fresh from a lay-off. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she has the ability to figure prominently. MANAAL (3) didn’t threaten when resuming last start over 6f in the G3 WW Cockram Stakes at Caulfield, finishing eighth, beaten 3.5 lengths. Second up record is very strong. Leading chance on best form. STEFI MAGNETICA (1) finished second over 1m in the G1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes at Randwick at her most recent appearance on April 12. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. JOLIESTAR (2) is back at the races for the first time since June 7. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last time in work over 6f at Randwick. Among the better hopes.
