THE BLACK CLOUD (13) found one marginally better last start over 5½f at Caulfield after being prominent throughout. Has the gate speed to overcome a wide draw. The engagement of Jay Ford is noteworthy. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she deserves plenty of thought. ROMEO'S CHOICE (10) returned from a lay-off last start with a strong win by 1.3 lengths over 5f at Warwick Farm. Fitter for that last hitout and another big run will not surprise. STORM THE RAMPARTS (8) comes here fresh from an all-the-way win by 1.2 lengths over this journey at this track on July 5. Goes very well at this journey, boasting two wins from four starts and is one of the prime contenders. OUR KOBISON (4) did a reasonable job when resuming to finish seventh over 5f in the LR Lightning Hcp at Eagle Farm when he drew off the track. Has a terrific record here with two wins and one minor placings from three starts. Will find this much easier. Well placed and expected to measure up. Among the top-three hopes.
