DUB STEPPING (3) showed good early dash last start and held on well to finish 2. 25 lengths back in second over 5f at Townsville. Has the talent to go one better. COAL SEAM (1) wasted no time getting off the mark on debut over 5½f at Mackay 12 weeks ago and has not raced since. Has since been kept ticking over with a Rockhampton trial placing. Has plenty of upside and can win again. BARBARIAN KING (2) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 5½f at this track, scoring by a nose. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Looks well placed and he is a great chance to go back-to-back. CRAIGLEA MONNIE (8) finished 3. 5 lengths away in sixth after being in contention on the bend at her last appearance over 5¼f at this track on March 14. No surprise if she figured in the finish.
