WAYNO (4) is a gelding by Under The Louvre out of Jayaqua who is at the races for the first time. Promising type who scored a comfortable trial win. Looks set for a bright start. AUGUST JOE (1) was in the money on debut before finishing fourth last time, beaten 7 lengths over 5¼f at this track. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. One of the main contenders. BECAUSE I CAN (5) is a first-starter by Exceedance out of Exotic Enterprise. Showed ability in a recent trial win at Rockhampton. Can figure in the finish.
