SHINING PROISIR (3) did his best work late and finished 2 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 7f at Dalby, an improvement on his tenth at Toowoomba the run before. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is good enough to play a major role. PROVEN RECORD (5) started at 6/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing sixth and beaten 5.5 lengths at Gold Coast over 1m1f. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. SCOTTVILLE SCOOTER (11) finished third at Sunshine Coast two runs back but was less effective last time over 6f at this track, finishing 5.5 lengths back in sixth. This looks a sterner test than last time but on her best form she is one of the chief contenders. PRIDE OF SAVABELLA (10) turned in an eye-catching run over 7¾f at Mackay last time, ridden back before coming home with a powerful run to finish third. Expected to feature again.
