LADY MASQUERADE (7) made considerable ground in the run home to finish third last start over 7f at Thangool. Record at this journey is sound with two wins from five runs. One of the main contenders. FORTRESS AUSTRALIA (4) raced on the speed and kept going to score by 1.2 lengths last time out over 6½f at Mackay. Should enjoy a good run just off the speed. Looks well placed so expect another big run. DIDDLEY SQUAT (1) finished ninth over 6¾f at Doomben last time out following a determined win two runs back. Should be poised just off the lead. Can feature in the finish.
