Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. DESERT GRIT (9) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6½f at Thangool, beaten 7 lengths into sixth. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he cannot be taken lightly. NAUGHTY WORDS (5) finished third last start over 5¼f at Toowoomba, beaten 2 lengths. Ideally placed and is sure to be there at the finish. D'ESPRIT (8) didn't make an impact at her last run before going for a lay-off on October 22 finishing eighth and beaten 6 lengths over 5f at Sunshine Coast. Sure to make her presence felt.
