STRAIGHTAWAY TURNPIKE (7) is a five-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 1.4 lengths when fourth over 1½f at this track (Dirt). Can come on from that run and looks a serious contender. SHADOWS OF THE FIRE (1) is a three-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Vazquez Juvenal Licona stable. Finished off last campaign with a fifth at Lone Star Park (Dirt) five months ago. Hasn't trialled publicly but looks nicely placed. Should feature in the finish. LIN (10) resumed four weeks ago over 1½f at this track and was only beaten 1.5 lengths into fifth. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
