MELANITE (9) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at Gosford over 5f. Sits handy in the run. Facing a tougher assignment but he is good enough to take this out. MAFIA (1) found a couple marginally better last start over 6½f at Rosehill after being prominent throughout. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. TWINKLING STAR (11) returned from a lay-off last start with a strong win by half a length over 5½f at Hawkesbury. Open to plenty of improvement and can go on with it. COSY CORNER (7) produced another moderate effort last start when 5 lengths from the winner in fifth over 7f at Newcastle. Finds a nice race and can make amends.
