KING JERRY (12) stepped up to the mile for the first time last start at Scone and after looking a winning chance halfway down the straight he fought on for second. Down in the weights this time. Will find this much tougher but he is a leading contender. SOUTHERN DANCER (8) was a winner over 1m1/2f at Wagga Riverside last time, racing on the pace before getting the upper hand and scoring by 0. 8 lengths. Looks the testing material again. WANDJAD (13) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he settled well back over 7½f at Rosehill, beaten 4 lengths into eighth. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. UPWARDLY MOBILE (9) settled well back from a wide draw last time then wound up strongly to finish fifth over 7½f at Rosehill. One of the main contenders.
