AXIUS (1) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fourth, beaten 2.25 lengths, over 6f at Rosehill. Will go forward and is expected to be in the finish. C'MON MATE (2) strode forward early from his wide draw over 6f at Kembla Grange when fresh from a lay-off last time, leading for much of the way before being claimed in the straight to finish second, beaten a head. Expected to be in this for a long way. CROP DUSTER (3) settled well back when 3 lengths from the winner in seventh over 6½f at Randwick last start, a less impressive effort than his sixth at this track the run before. This doesn't look as hard so he will be hard to beat. THE REPLICANT (7) drifted well back last start before storming home to score by a neck over 6½f at Warwick Farm. Generally performs well here and has registered five minor placings. Solid claims on best form.
