EYE OF THE FIRE (2) had been in sparkling form winning two races on end but was just edged out most recently when second over 6f at this track. Cannot be put aside after one miss. AMAZING EAGLE (8) opened this prep with a win two runs ago. Fair effort last time out when second over 6f at Doomben, beaten a head after he did his best work late. Tyler Schiller gets the best out of this three-year-old colt. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role. SHANGRI LA EXPRESS (9) is a talented gelding who tackled a tougher race at his last run on August 31 and finished seventh behind Autumn Glow over 6½f in the G3 Up and Coming Stakes at Rosehill. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Will give backers a great sight. YISKA (4) ran a bold race over this journey last time, leading for much of the way before fading out of it late to finish 2.25 lengths away in fourth at this track. Can sneak into the finish.
