DECEIVE (8) drifted back then made late ground to finish fourth when when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Canterbury. Big chance. BINDI'S CHOICE (4) showed good early dash and stalked the pace last start before drawing clear to score by 0.9 lengths over 6½f at Hawkesbury. Will go forward and should be in the finish again. THE REPLICANT (1) closed last campaign with four consecutive minor placings and is back. After a break of three months. Interesting move to remove the blinkers this prep. One of the better hopes. RANGATIRA (16) lines up on the back of a 2.5 lengths fourth over 6½f at Canberra. Winning claims on best figures.
