WAL'S ANGELS (6) raced on the speed from the outset last start and finished third, beaten 6 lengths, over 1m at Wyong. The engagement of Nick Heywood is a positive move. Has the ability to take this out. PERUNO (8) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Kembla Grange, beaten 2. 5 lengths into seventh after being in the firing line on the bend. This doesn't look as hard so he will be hard to beat. SPURLINE (10) is coming off a determined win last start over 1m at this track two weeks ago. Gets some weight relief this time so she is one of the contenders again. VERMICELLA (2) settled well back from a good draw last time before closing well to finish fifth, beaten 2 lengths, over 6½f at Canberra. Was outdashed but got going late and appears suited by the longer journey. Can sneak into the finish.
