KEEN SURGE (8) returned from a break last start with a mediocre seventh over 1m at this track (Synthetic) after travelling back in the field from the outset. Nicely placed to take this out. BLIND EYE (3) is coming along nicely this prep. Finished seventh when fresh from a lay-off two starts back at Mountaineer Park (Dirt) then improved and scored as favourite over 7f at Mountaineer Park Turf (Turf) three-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 1. 3 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is good enough to figure in the finish. VIA DELLA SPIGA (6) went forward and gave a great sight before finishing second when resuming last time out over 1m at this track (Synthetic). Looks well placed so expect another big run. MAKOA (9) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Tampa Bay Downs Turf (Turf), finishing second and only 0. 3 lengths from the winner at the end of 1m. Can build on that solid recent effort.
