POCKET EIGHTS (1) progressed nicely last time out when he did his best work late to finish just 1.3 lengths from the winner in third over 6f at Gosford. Has the class to take this out. CALEDONIAN (7) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 3.5 lengths away in fifth last time out over 6½f at Taree. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. HEART OF PLATINUM (12) broke her maiden last start over 7f at Taree, scoring by half a length. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again. SMASHING DANCER (11) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a ninth over 7½f at Kembla Grange. Beautifully placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping.
