Has a solid record at this course and distance, including a win and two minor placings. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is right in contention. ORIEDOS (11) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only 1.5 lengths over 6¾f at this track when he worked home well. Steps up a level but he is up to the task. BELMONT AVENUE (8) was expected to do more last start when out of the placings over 1m1 3/4f at this track, beaten 7 lengths. Meeting a deeper field this time but he has the ability to mix it with them.
