ALPHA FLIGHT (2) has been about the mark of late including last start when third over 5¼f at Balaklava. Looks a solid top-three prospect. FIRST MAID (4) did little and finished 4 lengths from the winner in fifth over 6f at Balaklava last start, a less impressive effort than her fourth at Port Lincoln the run before. Beautifully placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. SHOCKING HABIT (10) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Bordertown, finishing fourth and only 2.5 lengths from the winner at the end of 5½f. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. SHIKANIC (9) returns from a layoff of six months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5½f at this track. Sure to make his presence felt.
